Falklands 40

City College Plymouth Public Services

City College Plymouth Public Services

My Story

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this iconic event, 35 students from the public services course at City College Plymouth will be walking 40KM in a day. Starting on the morning of 14th June 2022 and finishing late afternoon on the same day on the promenade on Plymouth Hoe. This will be exactly 40 years to the day of the end of the Falklands conflict.

Students will be joined along the route by veterans of the Royal Marines from the RMA in Plymouth some of which served in the South Atlantic in 1982.

This is an enormous undertaking for some of the students, and they feel honoured and privaled to be able to take part and raise as much money as possible.
